Today, my husband and I went out to breakfast the first stop was to get some gas. After I got out of the car to go and pre-pay I saw a shiney dime on the parking lot, so I picked it up... The tempature today is beautiful, if the snow was gone from the ground I would of taken the ACE 250 out and searched at some schools, not today.

This morning I went to the grocery store, and boy was it COLD!!! out. I checked the Coinstar when I entered but found nothing. I than went to the bank, on the way back to customer service I spotted a small dark circle on the floor in front of the Coinstar, I went over to see what it was and found a penny. Than to customer service and found another penny on the floor in front of the counter. My Lucky Day, yeah right....

This morning, I got out for awhile to do laundry before more snow fell. Boy do I wish it was Spring so I could get back to detecting. While I was putting my clothes in the dryer I looked close and there was a quarter in the return slot, I thought I was loosing my touch. Later in the day my husband and I went out to eat a late lunch and under the next table I spotted what looked like a coin, this time I didn't go for it because of other people sitting nearby.

I haven't been on-line for a few days and now with the heavy snow that came yesterday I figured I get a little caught up. Have been working on Christmas ornaments that I have been painting and posting on my other blog.
I went to the grocery store on December 2 and as a habit I go over to the coinstar machine and check for coins. I found this foreign coin (if anyone knows what country, please let me know the coin is about the size of a dime). Found this coin in the return slot and a penny on the floor in front of the machine. Also, went to a craft store in the mall and on the floor in one of the isles found a penny. The finds over the winter will probably be very small (I don't metal detect thru the winter) can't wait til Spring when I can get out detecting again.

change: .12 and one foreign coin, I believe to be like a dime.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I have been busy making things to sell and not getting out as much as I'd like to and also the cold is starting to really show itself here in NY, a snow forcast is on for tonight the weather station is saying the it will hit south of us. Yesterday, I did get to a grocery store and in the checkout line I spotted a shiney penny.

After an outing with our son my husband and I decided to walk a little in the mall, haven't been there in a Long Time. I got tired and thirsty so I stopped at Mrs. Fields Cookie Store and got a Large Diet Coke, after paying I spotted a penny on the floor in front of this store it is this 1987 and it looks like there is an error to it, the squashed area on the date side and the word Trust the letters are not damaged from the squashed area.
Yesterday morning, I went to breakfast at BK's with my husband. I went to choose a table while he was getting the food, shortly after sitting down I saw a penny on the window sill funny how it was that table I have choosen and I didn't know it was there before sitting down. I also watched a car accident happening as I was looking out the window. after thinking about it for awhile, I decided to let the young lady know that I saw the whole thing after I walked up to her the old lady got very angry and told me I didn't have to be a witness that she was admitting her fault, I ignored her and told the other driver (young lady) that just in case she needed a witness I gave her my name and phone #. She was very shaken this was the first time for her having an accident.

This morning, stopped at the Dollar store for the Sunday paper an in front of the check-out counter I spotted the usual penny which I picked up but with some difficulty because of my winter jacket, I felt like a huge snow-man. Later in the day we stopped at Walmart and there I again spotted a penny but this one was outside near the entrance, some school kids were selling candy and it wasn't far from them...

Went to two locations this morning, first was a elementary school I was there 2 weeks ago and did good not that great today. I did find this kids charm in the wood chips, picture shows the front and back it's the size of a penny, also found .63 cents. Had several days that were rainy probably causing the children not getting out to much for play. I than decided to go back to the park at the beach even though I mentioned I was done there for the season, here I found 3 bottles and a can and .76 cents in coins.
Today, I didn't do any detecting it was very windy leaves racing down the street and than the rain started. I had a errand to do and after that I stopped at the craft store to pick up a few items. On the way back to the car, I spotted a penny on the parking lot next to a curb.

This morning I didn't feel like doing any metal detecting but changed my mind, the weather was beautiful up near 70. Don't know how many more nice days we will have before it starts to get really cold and snow. I went to 2 parks the first was in another town, has two Tot Lots I have been to this location a couple of times already. Of the coins found one quarter looks like it had a run in with a mower and lost. Also, found a small bullet casing/shell in the woodchips next to a bench and a tiny charm which reads claire's on it. Found $1.63 in clad at this park. The second location I decided to do since it was still early and my muscles are not hurting to bad right now. Did pretty good here, found $2.00 in coins and a bunch of bottles and cans for the refund deposit.
After breakfast we went for a walk on the beach. The weather is nice and quite warm but not raining (yet), storm is expected tonight. I scavenged for items to use in my crafts, while looking I spotted a shiney circle reflecting from the sunshine on the sand, I walked over and found a penny, again saw another reflection and another penny, than I spotted some more found a total of five pennies on the surface of the sand...When I got back home I saw that the bottle I put the found money in was missing, I lost it probably at the park (bummer), so the money I found and bottle returns from the beginning of this month to yesterday is lost. To make me feel a little better my husband gave me the money to replace what was lost so I could put into the savings for "Found Money". He's so sweet :-)

This morning, I decided to get out and do some coin shooting after a rainy and windy day yesterday, the next few days look like it's gonna rain some more but a lot milder. The first school was a spur of the moment, when I drove by made a quick turn into the parking area. Found some coins .47 cents not a whole lot. Probably would of found more but didn't search very far and hard. The second school (nicknamed goose poop school, this time not to messy) was a planned location and here I did better than I did the last time I was here, found $1.46 and some kind of (Ah, an earring) the picture is the earring the size is 2 5/8" dia. junk earring but still interesting it was onto of the grass-eyeball find.
Yesterday morning went to the park at the beach last trip there for the season, will return to this location in the spring for coin shooting. The finds are starting to get thin and it's very cold next to the lake. I started out searching the Tot Lot found two coins there a quarter and a dime, then went to where the soda machines where located and searched the ground there found some more lost coins, didn't have the interference from the machines. Than over to one of the pavilions did find a coin spill of 3 quarters and a penny in one hole, did find coins in other parts of the park. This token was found next to the band pavilion at first thought it was a quarter. Spent about 3 hours and was very cold, so called it a day. Today it's in the 40's and rainy so not going out, gonna focus on hand made crafts for Christmas today...
Went back to the park I searched yesterday, didn't find a lot of coins this time but did find a lot of buried crushed cans also the lids to the tennis ball cans (those rang up as quarters). Did find some clad coins, but nothing like yesterday, seems like when I do good at a location and then go back again, I don't do as good. Ah, that's why I give it a few days to weeks before returning.
This morning I went over to the park near my sister's house, have done very good at this location this year. Last year I found a 1964 quarter at this park I'm hoping there will be more. Of the quarters found today two of the are 1965's (bummer) missed again. I did find a lot of coins here, the oldest coin found today is the 1947 nickel found this in the TotLot. Other things found was this bracelet, not a good piece but still a good find. Found the bracelet in the grass just under the roots (the size is 2 2/8" dia.). Also found this pendant, was found along the edge of basketball court on the pavement (the size is 1 2/8" L x 1" W). I plan on going back there tomorrow, if not raining...
This morning, I didn't want to wake up a 1/2 hr later finally did get out of bed. When it got bright enough out I went to the park that I had searched at the other day, I went all the way around the edge of the tennis and basketball courts didn't find a lot this time, coins found was .83 cents and a house key. Afterwards, I decided to go to an elementary school this school did better than the park found $1.01 in clad coins. Going to search another park tomorrow, if not raining.
Finally got out after some very wet and windy days. I went on to 3 elementary schools I think I did very good. The first school found a $1.61 in clad coins, one area I found a dime sandwiched between two pennies, cool. Now on to the second location hoping no one is playing in the Tot Lot, no one there so I continued on to searching, I did very good here just like I did the other week. Found $3.62 in clad, one area had a spill of 4 quarters a dime and some pennies. Also, found a toy car it is bigger than a Hot Wheel, on the bottom says Disney Pixer-China than a number 2567 EA. The last school for the day not good, did find .15 cents on top of the woodchips. The two coins caught my eye from the shine the sun was causing. Tomorrow, I plan on going back to the park and search more around the basketball and tennis courts, did very good there the other day.
Took a break today from detecting, was way to cold this morning and the grass was wet don't want to get soaked, again. So later in the morning I went to two stores (Toys R Us) to pick up something to make for Christmas gifts and and to Walmart. When I checked out and started out to the parking lot spotted a penny on the sidewalk, I picked it up.

This morning the weather looked iffy it was cold, very dark clouds for awhile I expected it to start raining, but it didn't. I went to this park I was at the other day across from the mall, this time I searched next to 2 basketball courts. Did very good, in fact next to one court I was digging out quarters and dimes, many holes had multiple coins. On my ACE 250 got a signal that registered .50 cents and when I dug the target it was 2 quarters back to back. After I got back home from 2 hours of searching, getting muddy and very wet feet. I cleaned the coins off so I could tally my finds, one quater was a 1965 and one dime also was a 1965 (bummer) I will be going back there very soon, maybe tomorrow if weather permits.
Today is Columbus Day and weather pretty good other than chilly. I went to the park at the beach to search some, the finds are starting to get thin not many people coming down to the lake now. Found some clad, nothing in the TotLot except for one button on the backside it says "Waterbury Co's Inc. Conn." On the way back to my car I found this ring in very good condition the middle stone is pink and the side ones are clear has no mark. I believe it's not real but makes a good addition to my collection of rings. Also found a 1958 nickel that I need for my album. Tomorrow I plan on going to the park I searched the other day, has basketball courts, tennis courts and the bleachers by a couple of ball fields.
This morning with frost on the grass, I went detecting at two elementary schools the first one did fairly good found a couple of cans for the deposit and alot of clad coins $1.39, amongst the coins I found this 1944 wheatie, not to bad for a chilly morning. I would of found more if I decided to keep searching. The second school is not to far from this one, not to many coins here found one can for the deposit and .46 cents. My feet are very wet from the dew and frost on the grass gonna call it a day, will go out again tomorrow.
Today, I took a break from metal detecting even though the weather was out standing. We watched a couple of movies on DVD, first one was "Urban Legend" to scary for me to watch especially at night and than the other movie was "7 Pounds" with Will Smith, to me that was a very good one to watch, finished watching around 3 AM, so this morning I slept in. Early this afternoon stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things in one of the check out lines I spotted a penny on the floor, so I went and picked it up. Hey, see a penny pick it up all the day you'll have good luck.

This morning, I went Coin Shooting at 3 parks I have been to in the past. I think I did very good today even at one park I had bad results in the past. The first park was a good start of the morning searches, found a couple of bottles for the return deposit and a lot of clad coins totaling $1.67 for this park. The second location was the one that was bad in the past and did fairly good today, found .12 cents in the woodchips a dime and 2 pennies. In one hole found a spill of coins totaling .41 cents I got a total of .87 cents at this park. The third and last place for the day was the best, found a single key (looks like a car key)and a lot of clad coins, again one hole had a spill totaling .52 cents, in this park I totaled $1.92.
This morning finally not raining so I got out for some coin shooting. Went back to the Park at the beach, with not any people there the finds are starting to get thin but still able to find coins. I started out in the Tot Lot only a couple of pennies and someones drivers license under one of the play equipment on top of the woodchips. I also found a charm from a cell phone with XOXO as the design, the colors of the letters are pink and purple. there was a metal gold color leaf, possibly part of an earring. A small toy police officer and a piece of copper pipe. The license that I found was a under 21 kind, after I got home I called one of the neighbors about my find and who to call to return it to the owner. He suggested I call 311 and they had a police officer come and get it, the officer said I could of dropped it into the mailbox and it would of been delivered to the person (Hmm, good to know for the future if another one is found). After I got home and cleaned the coins I saw that I found a Wheatie a 1956D.
This penny I found last year in one of the play grounds I search at. I first thought it was play money but it's not plastic. It is the same size as the penny but minus the rim, it weighs 1.6grams. I looked last night on-line and found a few of them, this one does not look like it was in acid it actually has the same texture as a regular penny and it's not the size of a dime. I wonder if it's an error? I also thought that some one was doing a copper rubbing, it has the image of the memorial on the reverse side.
This morning, I went coin shooting at the Park on the beach. Found, dug up a car key for a Toyota. Also found a lot of clad coins, especially by one tree I got a strong signal and proceeded to dig up a penny but to my surprise found a spill of pennies most of them were Zincoln's in the decaying stage (27 Zincoln's) and a couple of good ones.
Went coin shooting at some elementary schools this morning, had planned on gooing to three of them. The first school did not do good, found .11 cents, I know if I went into other parts of the school I probably would of done good but just searched the TotLots and this place had two of them. The second school was worst, I never did good at this school in the past found .01 penny. The third school was the goose poop place, didn't stay because the grounds crew was working at the play area (adding new woodchips), so I went to a different school I had not planned on visiting today. Did okay here, found one earring under a picnic table and some clad coins, found .83 cents three of the pennies found were Canadian. Than I was off to the last school for the day, I found some clad coins here also .33 cents and a childs ring. Had fun finding the earring and ring even though they are not the real thing.
This morning, I went to two parks each one I searched the TotLots the first location not much after digging in the woodchips. I went into the skate park that is where the skate boarders and roller bladers play. I searched for coins (eye-balling) found a little over .10 cents, a nickel and pennies. I than turned on my machine and searched some of the grass along the tall fence, that is when I found this ring (I see no mark on the inside) and the Buzz Light Year also along the fence, on the back of Buzz it says "offical Pin Tra (can't make out the rest of the word)-2002-Disney Pixar-Made in China" and 1 Canadian penny. Clad found at this park was .62 cents. I than went to the next place haven't been to this park since last year, found a lot of clad coins $1.60.
This morning I went coin shooting at the park/beach, I started searching at the TotLot not to good there found .07 a nickel and 2 pennies. The rest of the coins I found in the grassy area. Did pretty good today.
While checking the quarters I save for laundry, I check the dates before putting then in my laundry container. This was the last one in the pile that I was checking for the date thats when I noticed the error in the coin. Now, I want to get it checked to see what something like this would be worth.
Today went out with my husband and one of the places was the Dollar store, the one I was at yesterday. When I walked in I noticed a penny in the same spot as the one I found yesterday so I went and picked it up no one was standing in line at the time. When it came time to check out I was waiting for my husband to finish what he was looking for, I than noticed more pennies in the same area so I got in line with him and when it was his turn to pay I picked them up. Found 4 pennies...

This morning I went to two Elementary schools and at each one I didn't get to much. At the first school I did very good there earlier this year, but not today. I found .54 cents in clad, might of done good if I stuck it out there but the grass was wet and I was starting to get cold. I went to the second school not any better found this heart that registered as a penny, it measures 1 1/4" Wide x 1 1/8" High here I found .40 cents. With it being low I called it a day and went home. As someone told me "even a bad day is a good day".
This morning I went back to searching Elementary schools. Since the kids have started back for the school year, today searched three. The first school found some clad, here I found .83 cents and one earring the only mark on the back side is Disney. After this school I went on to another not to far away. I did very good here more clad coins just about everywhere, I found $3.30 the gold tone bow from a necklace and the zipper-pull thingy with the name Cody. Than on to the third and last school for the day, located not far down the road, also did good here found $2.18 in clad and another house key.
Went out detecting this morning, before it gets to Hot, supposed to get up to 90 degrees today. As usual I started out at the TotLot, found a whapping 5 pennies (one was a Canadian penny). I than went into the grassy area, than I started finding some coins. Not far from the Carousel I found this Spider pin, some of the black (I think) Rhinestones where missing. Not long after taking the picture it broke in half, it broke in the area that was missing the stone. I also saw no kind of mark so must of been costume jewelry (found just under the grass roots below soil surface). It registered on my machine in the pulltab/nickel/can slaw range. It's starting to get very warm so I called it a day at 10:30AM.
Went to search at two parks this morning, first one is near my sister's house. I found a bunch of clad and this bullet, looks like it could come from the same kind of bullet case I found yesterday. At this park I found $2.60, one of the quarters I dug up here I missed it by being silver by 1 year, it was a 1965. Last year, I did find a 1964 quarter by the tennis courts in this park.
Park two is a bit smaller it always gives me some finds. Clad found here is $1.36 and two house keys, first key found was in the wood chips and the second one I dug out of the ground. Both registered as a penny on my ACE250.
I have been having back and leg pain so not getting out at much right now, but I did get out this morning especially since the weather is starting to get cooler. I went back up to the park at the beach, started in the Tot Lot there I found a few pennies, not many going to the park lately. There ia a memorial for the Vietnam Vets and the other Wars that have happened located near the play area, I searched near there and found these bullet casings the two cleaner ones I found on the surface of the ground the others I dug (all were about 2in. down (found 17). In the past I did find 1 that I dug up. I believe it was from a service that was performed there on the Holiday and then did 21 gun firing.
Up near the board walk, I found some pennies. I than got a strong penny signal when I dug it up seeing the the grooves I thought was a stack of pennies as soon as it was out of the ground I saw it was this ring. It is a junk ring. As I was heading back again near the area of the Memorial I come across a coin spill 6 quarters and 1 nickel were recovered from the hole. I searched for about 2 hours than called it a day for I was starting to hurt again. I do plan on going out again in the morning, need to excercise the back.
Figured I search the area near the Carousel, different grassy area. Found some clad coins and another President $1.00 coin (Thomas Jefferson 3rd president 1801-1809) 2007P. After a bit I went a little into the sandy area, while searching around a large tree I spotted a Dragonfly sitting on a stick (he was rather large compared to the ones seen flying around). I took the stick with the insect sitting on it and lightly touched it to the tree, it raised a leg and walked onto the bark. Didn't want it to get stepped on and it was still in the sunshine (probably trying to warm up). Wish I had my camera with me when I saw that. Soon I will be getting back to my drawing, something to do in the winter...
This morning I decided to try and get back into detecting so I went to the park at the beach, the temp. was rather chilly when I arrived than turned into a nice cool morning, no problems with the heat or humidity (ah, it felt good). I searched the Tot Lot, only a few coins the first one was a quarter. So I went on into the park, here I found many coins some areas had spills and many were found on the surface. Before I left I stopped at the Carousel to say Hi to Michael, he's the guy that runs it. He was getting it ready to shut down for the winter. Afterwards, I decided to call it a day (to my surprise) it was almost noon and I started at 7AM. As I was walking back to my car I decided to search around two more picnic tables I found more coins and a spill of pennies. Today I searched for 5 hours, not including the break at the Carousel.
Today, I finally decided to do laundry have been taking it easy for a week due to back and leg pain. Gonna try to get out tomorrow and do a little coin shooting weather is supposed to be pretty good, today was a rainy and stormy day. when I was done with the dryers the first one surprised me with dropping a nickel when I opened the door.

While I was sitting on the lawn chair I spotted two pennies laying on the dirt, they are 1982 and 1978. I save all pre 1982's and 82's (the 82's, I will weigh them to weed out the zincoln's).

Also, there was this man at the customer service counter getting change from whatever transaction, he dropped a penny after he walked away I went and picked it up. The first place I went to was the beach play area, found my first Kennedy Half Dollar Bicentennial one, I was hoping it be of silver but hey was fun to see it in the woodchips. It registered on my machine as a strong $1.00. Found a total of $1.33 in clad in the play area. I decided to go to another park after this Tot Lot. Did pretty good there also lots of nickels usually don't get to many nickels, more pull tabs than nickels. I noticed on my machine that when it's a nickel the signal is strong not moving around and loud. Found most of the coins around the picnic pavilion. At this place I found $1.00 in clad coins.
This morning, I headed back to the beach to search for more coins found $1.57 and hope to get a good find but not at this park. (Do have to say that these flies are annoying). After here, I decided to stop at another park for a quick search did find .02 cents thought I'd find more but what was registering dimes and pennies where bottle caps did find this Scout scarf holder.
This time I was gonna pass by the Totlot, but did a quick scan at the swings found .26 cents the first coin of the morning was a quarter. I than walked over to the area I had in mind for searching, I checked around a large rock found some coins and this Ugly ring which registered dime on my machine.
Than I went over to the picnic tables by the board walk, here I found many coins and this bracelet which registered as a high quality penny, I believe it's made of copper. The pennies I perfer to find are the higher grade, pre 1982.
Here at the beach I started out at the TotLot, found some clad coins and this weird type button looks like it came off of something denim or Gothic. The size of this button is 1" long by 1" at the widest point. At the spiral slide in the woodchips I also found an unspent bullet 350 Auto this item I don't want to save, usually I see a police car in the area but not today. After I got home and mowed the front yard, than I talked to the neighbor told him about my find and that I want to dispose of it properly, he told me to call the police and they would pick it up. I did and they did come to pick it up, to dispose of it the right way. **Never throw a live bullet into the trash**.
After the play area I went over to a different area of the park, here there was a gravel parking lot, found quite a few coins in the gravel parking area. I this area I found this pendent which registered as a penny/dime on my ACE250, looks like it's a frame for a dogtag. The size is 2 1/2" long by 1 5/8" wide, belive it hangs on those ugly big chains. There was an event here over the weekend with all kinds of modern and old fire trucks and live music, where the stage was I found one of the guitar picks (red) Quality Taylor Guitars H...
This morning was a beautiful start of the day, clear skies and not to chilly but still have a bit humidity to deal with. I went to one elementary school (nicknamed the Mosquito school, there are a lot of trees covering the play area and very little sun gets thru causing a large amount of these blood suckers). Didn't find a whole lot of coins here, did find .58 cents. Also found a pair of childrens shoes in the grass, each shoe had a heart charm on the top, I took them off the shoes to use on my painted spoons as an accent piece, I did leave the shoes there. Instead of searching another school I decided to search one of the many parks I go to. I'm going to wait until the kids are back to school so the play areas and school grounds get replenished. The park produced a lot of dimes, here I found .98 cents.
Only found 4 pennies at the first school, alot where found at the second location I believe this wheatie was found there. It is a 1945.
This Hot wheel car, B04 Mitsubishi Eclipse Conceprt Car-Thailand was found at the second elementary school this morning, in the grass just outside of the woodchip play area.
This Tonka green ladder fire truck was also found at the second school closer to the building. On the bottom says Maisto with an R in a circle, this website www.maisto.com . Tonka with the copyright mark 2000 or 2006 hard to make out the last # and than Hasbro. The first school I did't find to much, Did manage to find .14 cents. I'm sure once school starts again these places will be replenished with coins. The second school did find $2.36 in coins, one area found most of the quarters roughly about 4 inches down.
While doing laundry I walked around looking on the floor and in the machines to see if I could find any coins, I saw none. As I was watching the clothes dry, I looked at the machines at an angle and with the reflection on the face of the Driers I saw something sticking out of coin return, found a coin after all...

I was driving to the beach this morning, spotted 3 deer feeding on the side of the road as I slowed down the car noise caused them to look up at me, a beautiful sight. In this town you can come across areas with deer, last year I saw one running across someones front yard. Last week at the beach, I talked with a lady nicknamed the "Purple Lady" for she wears purple all the time. She told me that she collects pull tabs for "MS" I told her that I had alot and that she could have them (I have no use for them), she told me who to drop them off to an old gentleman that always sits at the beach, he will give them to her (saw him there many times). I took the bag in today, when I walked up to see if he was the person I spotted a penny on the sidewalk. Searched a little over an hour the Totlot and some of the grassy area.
This Morning, I decided not to get up before 6 AM. I took it easy this morning and after awhile I went out for a short time to the grocery store. When I got inside the store I went over to the Coin-Star machine and checked the return slot, didn't see anything so I stuck my hand in and found a quarter. When I was done getting what I needed I spotted a dime on the floor in front of a bench by the Exit, I picked that up also...I plan to go detecting tomorrow, hopefully it'll be a quiet night from the neighbors.

This morning, I went back to the beach to search the park. Not much at all in the TotLot, did find a dime and this pin, had to cut thru the material under the woodchips to get at the pin, it is 1" long x 7/8" at widest point. Has a circle with a green cross and the words on the pin says Rochester Safety Council - the words around the circle says Universal Safety one little word on the bottom is hard to make out. Also found a lot of pennies 13 are pre-1982's. Met some nice people this morning, one couple asked if I found something and at that moment it was a bottle cap but mentioned that my machine registered a quarter and there was still something in the hole, my pro-pointer was buzzing. Ah, got the quarter and a dime. Was out for about 2 hours. The 1969D dime at first thought was a 1960D, no luck after cleaning it a bit more I noticed the 0 was a 9.
This morning, I went to 3 parks/playgrounds haven't been to them for awhile. The first place in the TotLot found 2 dimes and a penny plus this flattened penny from The Rochester Museum & Science Center. More coins were found under a large tree (a lot of quarters) found $2.67 at this park. The second place a playground, not to much .65 cents and the last place only a quarter and 5 cans/bottles for the .05 cents deposit. ***State Quarters***As of today August 18, 2010 I have found all the states from metal detecting, at least 1 State Quarter some states I have found more of. This I did myself for fun to see if I could find all states before the season was up and today was the day. It took from March 17, 2010 to August 18, 2010...
This morning I was glad to be out detecting, haven't been out with the Ace since Friday morning. Had problems in our neighborhood with neighbors having loud parties (police was called many times from the neighbors) and and the house next to us had a very large group of people 50+ in the small apartment, after they all piled out someone started shooting. This making it a very long sleepless night making Saturday a very tired day and Sunday it rained. I have to say city living is the pits. I did find these items in the woodchips of the TotLot at the beach also found another Chucky Cheese token 2007, along with alot of clad coins. Did very good at one swing set, at one swing found .62 cents at the other end of the swings found 2 quarters. Dimes were found just about everywhere in the play area. Did check the grassy area found some more coins. Tomorrow, I will go to some play areas I haven't been to for a while and see if they were re-stocked.
Went to two parks, the first one not to great found .22 cents. I went to the second location did pretty good, even with the humidity being high. The first coin I found was this 1943P War Nickel next to one of the play equipment, this was the oldest coin found today. I did find a 2009P dime in very good condition, I need it to fill a spot in my dime coin album. At this park I found $1.72.
