This morning I went to the beach searched the area around the building that has the carousel, got some more clad 11 of the pennies are pre-1982. Batteries started to run low after awhile so I called it a day (do have extras I carry with me).
This morning was very Murky after the rain from yesterday. I did go out for some coin shooting to 3 locations, first place not to much found .38 cents. The Second place was back to the area that the IH was found, didn't get anymore but got several quarters found .96 cents (am finally understanding my ACE 250). Hit a park been there once before, didn't do to good .12 cents not including one unusual looking penny it's half the thickness of a regular penny no rim the weight is 1.6g is pre-1982 it's a 1966.
This morning went to two locations, first was back to the soccer fields that yeilded $1.50 in clad coins, I just love those quarters (I have one thing to say, people that walk there dogs should pick up the mess that is left by them). Than I decided to go back to the Beach/Park, I hunted a tiny section not far from the Carousel, found .30 cents and in that my first Indian Head Penny a 1902.
This morning I went to 4 locations, first one was next to where my sister live (been there before). Found .88 cents, .61 of that was on top of the woodchips these were eyeballed. The second place was the Beach/park playgroound, didn't produce to much found only .13 cents. Off to the third location, that was even worse in the wood chip area only found .01 cent. Was gonna call it a day but decided to hit one more area, went to another Tot Lot in the wood chips found .10 cents and along the edge of the parking lot found .17 cents also a 1978 penny that is cut/mangled (this was added to my pre 1982 stash for the copper).
This morning I decided to search at two Elementary Schools, the first one was very good a lot of clad coins found $1.78 and also a childs junk ring. The second school not as much but did okay found .89 cents. These are both first time locations...
Today I went to 3 different parks, the first one found .79 cents not a whole lot but something. The second park was fairly large has 3 baseball fields and a football field, what I did do this is what I found .37 cents. The first one I found was a foreign coin, don't know from what country does look Asian. The last playground for the day found .10 cents, nickel and pennies one penny was a wheat. Than I found this unusual looking pipe (very colorful), I do believe it is one used for illegal form of smoking.
This morning, went to one of the parks didn't do good nothing in the woodchips but did find one nickel in the grass next to a picnic table. So I left to go to another location, went back to the soccer fields found some clad not a whole lot. Found .85 cents, did find 4 keys in one hole, 2 look like car keys and the other 2 look like house keys, they were not on any kind of ring.
This morning was a dark gloomy day, just didn't seem to lighten up. Went to a new location and found a TotLot, not much found there .36 cents but has some areas I want to check out in the future. Went back to the Beach/Park got a lot of pennies and some other clad. My first hit when I got there thought it was a metal button but when I looked at it closer I saw that it was a token. The front says (Rochester City Lines N.Y.S.RYS.) has a cut out R in the center and the back of the token says (Substitute For Cash Far) and than .88 in clad coins.
After a few days break I decided to go to a couple of parks, went back to the soccer fields (was cold with frost on the ground). Found $1.18, not to bad. Than to a playground not far from my house, eyed it on Sunday and saw that the swing area had woodchips other parks to the play area had the thick rubber padding (years ago was all grassy area). Found $1.16 again not bad.
Today, I didn't go coin shooting due to my knee having much pain and a bit hard to walk. The weather was pretty good, south of here had snow I'm glad not here it's just way to early. So I decided to take in a bag of bottles to get out of my car. I went today and got some supplies for drawing, for winter is gonna be here in no time ground will be frozen and I will be unable to go Metal Detecting. So I will be getting back into my art until spring.

This morning, I went out to hunt another soccer field this park has several of them but I just did one. Did find more quarters (7), clad coins a ring that was deformed (looks like ot could be silver) and a Letter C thingy that has a chain on it possibly something that hung on a purse. Found $2.39 at that field. Than went to a small park not to great got a whole .14 cents. Than off to the last park, did pretty good here also. More quarters (4) and clad coins. Found $1.19 here.
This morning I went to an area soccer field for some metal detecting must of been nuts temp. was 30 degrees. The jewelry I found was a ring on the inside I see ICING and a NY Yankee pendant the top has the .925. Than clad coins again a lot of quarters (6).
This morning, I went coin shooting at two Elementary schools the first school was not worth the effort found only .12 cents (1 dime and 2 pennies) in the wood chips. But the second school I hit I have been to this school a couple of times before, well today I did pretty good there found $2.12 and in that amount was 7 quarters, this is the second place I have gotten 7 quarters in my coin shooting.
This morning, had to wait for the rain to stop finally when it did I got out for some Coin Shooting went to two Elementary shools and the Beach/Park. The first school I was at before and for the last 2 Sundays I saw a man detecting that playground, well this morning I went and got 2 dimes and also found two soda bottles those I'll take in when I'm ready to return the cans and bottles than I'll tally the amount in with the cans/bottles. The second school was a first and also have been eyeing the playground everytime I drove by there found .74 cents clad. And than to the beach/park searched around the playground and some of the grassy area near the woodchips, was getting tired so called it a day, left with .50 cents in clad. Of the coins found there was a 2005D dime needed to fill a hole in the coin album, dime was nice and clean not like the ones that are dark/dirty from being in the dirt.
This morning, I hit a park didn't do good in the wood chips but along part of the soccer field and the picnic area found some quarters and other clad coins a total of $1.23. Gonna hit that area again during the week while the kids are in school. I know they wouldn't be having games there than. I was still in the hunting mood so off to the Beach/Park searched the grass around the play ground found .93 cents in clad, mostly pennies.
This morning I went to 3 playgrounds, two of them are a first. The first one I came out with $1.66 must be one never detected or been awhile, second playground have been to several times only got .13 cents and the last one for the day is the one I backed out of doing yesterday got the courage to hit it today, came out with .91 cents not bad for a Tuesday morning...
This morning I was gonna hit a new playground but backed out for now so I went to the Beach/Park, the area I worked yesterday and got rained out I hit that area again today and it payed off Good!! along with a lot of clad coins. Found wedding rings the band part in one area and the diamond about 2 feet away, I surprised I found both they are a set (look a like) and the same size. Believe they are silver can faintly make out a mark, just have to get to a jewelry store and have them checked to see if they are real...
This morning, I went to a new location a school couple of the play areas had nothing the area that had all the playground equipment did okay got .53 cents. Than off to another new location, that one didn't do well at all, came out with .03 cents. I did meet a lady that was walking her two dogs, one of the dogs was very friendly and came up to me to say in doggy words "Hi". The rain came so I went into the car, again I saw the lady come back with her pets from walking the friendly dog looked very lost she was actually looking for me. I opened the car door to show her that I was over here in the car and the ears perked up and she came over for a scratch on the head. Guess I should carry dog treats, LOL!!!. Than off to the Park/Beach, this area pays off good. In one small area I was pulling coins out of the ground, quarters, dime and many pennies a total of .69 cents in a short time, than the rain came so had to call it a day for sure I will be there tomorrow...
The meeting was fun, saw some of the members finds and voted for the best. I got one win on my relic of the square nail, prize was a scratch off lottery ticket and a 1964 Kennedy half dollar. After the meeting I was asked if I was gonna do some hunting, yes just had to figure out where I was gonna go. A few of the members and I decided to go to the other beach in our area, did okay got clad coins .40 at the end of the search we were asked who got the oldest coin the oldest one I had was a 1964 Canadian, I was the winner with this coin (others had current dates or no coins). My prize was a 1954 Ben Franklin half dollar. These coins made my day really silver bright, these are the first prizes I have gotten since I joined...
This morning I hit 2 play areas and the beach park, one play ground have to figure the right way to enter (that one I'll try later in the week). The one next to my sister's house produced some clad .78 cents and a tiny skull button thingy. Than one of the playgrounds went back to that did very good on my first visit got more clad coins .13 cents and that is the place I got all the bottles for return. And than the Beach/Park found a square nail, something that looks like a ring (misshaped and heavy) than more clad coins $1.56. As I was swinging my detector the Sheriff drove behind me on the side walk, I turned and said Good Morning and he replied with a Good Morning and kept driving, the police and Sheriff patrol the park all the time more during peak season...I'm getting ready to go to a Metal Detecting Club Meeting, starts a 10AM...
As I went to one of the playgrounds to coin shoot the trash can next to my car was loaded with bottles the kind with a .05 deposit, I filled 3 shopping bags. When finished metal detecting found a penny next to my driver side door. Later that day even with the pouring rain had to take in the bottles car was starting to smell like a brewery.
