Returned bottles and cans today.

Today, I went to the grocery store to return 4 bags of bottles and cans for the deposit. As I was putting in the plastic bottles the machine next to me I noticed the slip for the cash, a man was on the other side of that machine I assumed it was his because people many times work on two machines at a time. He walked away, so I grabbed it the amount was .70 cents also found another can in the return slot another .05 cents. That makes an extra .75 cents to my savings. Afterwards I stopped at the Dollar store to get some cookies and a couple of books for the projects I'm working on, when I went to check out I saw a penny on the floor so when it came to my turn I bent down to pick it up. Bottle Return Day...

This morning I went and returned bottles and cans that I had and also the ones found while metal detecting. When I took the slips to the register for the money, I got this nickel from the refund. I collect all nickels 1963 and older, even if I have that date filled in my coin albums.

Back to Yesterday's Park

Went back to the park I searched yesterday, didn't find a lot of coins this time but did find a lot of buried crushed cans also the lids to the tennis ball cans (those rang up as quarters). Did find some clad coins, but nothing like yesterday, seems like when I do good at a location and then go back again, I don't do as good. Ah, that's why I give it a few days to weeks before returning.

Day to take in cans and bottles...

Starting to get to many bags in hallway so time to turn in for deposit. When I got to the machines in the store there was this gentleman waiting at the counter to return 3 glass bottles, he turned to me and said I could have them (I thanked him).

Busy Morning Coin Shooting...

This morning I went to many locations, didn't do as good as I thought I would. First location an elementary school not far from home, the most I found here was 2 beer cans for deposit and .16 cents in clad. Well maybe the other places in the next town will produce. The second elementary school had two playgrounds the first one gave me .72 cents in clad and the second playground .21 cents in clad. While on my way to find the other two schools I spotted a large park so I turned around and searched there, they had a pretty good size TotLot found .77 cents in clad here. Will have to return here in the future, have several sports fields that can be searched. The fourth location school had about 4 TotLots, managed to only find .02 cents and the last school TotLot managed to find .37 cents clad. These places made it a not so good day, possibly someone searches these areas.

Today, I returned cans and bottles for the refund. While on my way into the store saw two pennies in the parking lot and about a foot and a half there was another penny.

First Post...

Starting April 30, 2009
Today, I went to the grocery store to return cans and bottles for the refund. While there a lady walked up to me and asked if I would like he cans, first thing I asked her was don't you want them, she told me no and that she does this all the time. There are still nice people out there, she gave me a total of 9 cans and 2 bottles at .5 cents each.
