Bottle return day...

Oh yeah, time to get the bottles in for the deposit. After watching a favorite show "Law and Order SVU" I got ready to that in the bottles, have way to many full bags. Didn't do any detecting today, after the errand I decided to mow the lawn for there is a rain forcast for this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow. I plan on detecting Saturday morning at some schools.

This Morning, coin shooting at two schools...

This morning I went out coin shooting at two elementary schools, on the way to the first location it started to rain. I hoped that it would stop, was light with some fine drizzle was a while when it finally did stop. I didn't find a whole lot but didn't come out empty handed either, found .24 cents one dime, one nickel and 9 pennies. After here, I went to the second school here I did much better found $2.06 and a fancy button. It was 6 quarters, 4 dimes, 2 nickels and 6 pennies. As I was getting ready to stop for the day a young boy came over to me and asked if he could help me dig, I told himm that I was finished and getting ready to leave. He asked some questions so the two of talked for a short time.

Did some Coin Shooting...

Went Coin Shooting to 2 locations, first was the park at the beach. I was gonna search the Tot Lot thats where I saw alot of kids playing there yesterday. When I got to the park I saw another person there with a detector and saw evidence that the play area was searched. So I went to a different area next to a resturant, I have been eyeing that area sent the fall. I did pretty good found $2.03 in a small area (I will search that area again). Also, found the thingy with the #2 must of been something in the center for I can see that there is a small hole on each side. The two items in the center I found a the Elementary school I went to after searching the park. When I got to the school as I was getting out of the car I saw a shiney penny on the pavement. At the school I did find some more coins, I have done pretty good here last season (found .73 cents).

New Years Eve Find...

Today, my husband and I went out to breakfast the first stop was to get some gas. After I got out of the car to go and pre-pay I saw a shiney dime on the parking lot, so I picked it up... The tempature today is beautiful, if the snow was gone from the ground I would of taken the ACE 250 out and searched at some schools, not today.

Brrrrr.... It's Cold This Morning

Went to two locations this morning, first was a elementary school I was there 2 weeks ago and did good not that great today. I did find this kids charm in the wood chips, picture shows the front and back it's the size of a penny, also found .63 cents. Had several days that were rainy probably causing the children not getting out to much for play. I than decided to go back to the park at the beach even though I mentioned I was done there for the season, here I found 3 bottles and a can and .76 cents in coins.

Went to Two Elementary Schools

This morning, I decided to get out and do some coin shooting after a rainy and windy day yesterday, the next few days look like it's gonna rain some more but a lot milder. The first school was a spur of the moment, when I drove by made a quick turn into the parking area. Found some coins .47 cents not a whole lot. Probably would of found more but didn't search very far and hard. The second school (nicknamed goose poop school, this time not to messy) was a planned location and here I did better than I did the last time I was here, found $1.46 and some kind of (Ah, an earring) the picture is the earring the size is 2 5/8" dia. junk earring but still interesting it was onto of the grass-eyeball find.

Found Small Amount of Coins...

This morning, I didn't want to wake up a 1/2 hr later finally did get out of bed. When it got bright enough out I went to the park that I had searched at the other day, I went all the way around the edge of the tennis and basketball courts didn't find a lot this time, coins found was .83 cents and a house key. Afterwards, I decided to go to an elementary school this school did better than the park found $1.01 in clad coins. Going to search another park tomorrow, if not raining.

After a Couple Days Rain...

Finally got out after some very wet and windy days. I went on to 3 elementary schools I think I did very good. The first school found a $1.61 in clad coins, one area I found a dime sandwiched between two pennies, cool. Now on to the second location hoping no one is playing in the Tot Lot, no one there so I continued on to searching, I did very good here just like I did the other week. Found $3.62 in clad, one area had a spill of 4 quarters a dime and some pennies. Also, found a toy car it is bigger than a Hot Wheel, on the bottom says Disney Pixer-China than a number 2567 EA. The last school for the day not good, did find .15 cents on top of the woodchips. The two coins caught my eye from the shine the sun was causing. Tomorrow, I plan on going back to the park and search more around the basketball and tennis courts, did very good there the other day.

Two Elementary Schools, One Wheat Penny...

This morning with frost on the grass, I went detecting at two elementary schools the first one did fairly good found a couple of cans for the deposit and alot of clad coins $1.39, amongst the coins I found this 1944 wheatie, not to bad for a chilly morning. I would of found more if I decided to keep searching. The second school is not to far from this one, not to many coins here found one can for the deposit and .46 cents. My feet are very wet from the dew and frost on the grass gonna call it a day, will go out again tomorrow.

I'm off to search some schools...

Went coin shooting at some elementary schools this morning, had planned on gooing to three of them. The first school did not do good, found .11 cents, I know if I went into other parts of the school I probably would of done good but just searched the TotLots and this place had two of them. The second school was worst, I never did good at this school in the past found .01 penny. The third school was the goose poop place, didn't stay because the grounds crew was working at the play area (adding new woodchips), so I went to a different school I had not planned on visiting today. Did okay here, found one earring under a picnic table and some clad coins, found .83 cents three of the pennies found were Canadian. Than I was off to the last school for the day, I found some clad coins here also .33 cents and a childs ring. Had fun finding the earring and ring even though they are not the real thing.

Not a Very Good Day...

This morning I went to two Elementary schools and at each one I didn't get to much. At the first school I did very good there earlier this year, but not today. I found .54 cents in clad, might of done good if I stuck it out there but the grass was wet and I was starting to get cold. I went to the second school not any better found this heart that registered as a penny, it measures 1 1/4" Wide x 1 1/8" High here I found .40 cents. With it being low I called it a day and went home. As someone told me "even a bad day is a good day".

Back to School...

This morning I went back to searching Elementary schools. Since the kids have started back for the school year, today searched three. The first school found some clad, here I found .83 cents and one earring the only mark on the back side is Disney. After this school I went on to another not to far away. I did very good here more clad coins just about everywhere, I found $3.30 the gold tone bow from a necklace and the zipper-pull thingy with the name Cody. Than on to the third and last school for the day, located not far down the road, also did good here found $2.18 in clad and another house key.

Some Morning Coin Shooting...

This morning was a beautiful start of the day, clear skies and not to chilly but still have a bit humidity to deal with. I went to one elementary school (nicknamed the Mosquito school, there are a lot of trees covering the play area and very little sun gets thru causing a large amount of these blood suckers). Didn't find a whole lot of coins here, did find .58 cents. Also found a pair of childrens shoes in the grass, each shoe had a heart charm on the top, I took them off the shoes to use on my painted spoons as an accent piece, I did leave the shoes there. Instead of searching another school I decided to search one of the many parks I go to. I'm going to wait until the kids are back to school so the play areas and school grounds get replenished. The park produced a lot of dimes, here I found .98 cents.

Sunday Morning Elementary Schools...

This morning I went to two schools and did very good. The first one I went to looked like someone had been there before me, saw some large areas that had been dug and filled in not to good. The woodchips I found nothing, except in the second smaller play are a couple of dimes. I searched the grassy area around the school and found coins. The first school I found $1.68. The second school wasn't to far away, there is construction work going on here so had to walk past the skids of supplies to get to the play area. I managed to find a quarter in the woodchips at the end of the slid and under the climbing equipment I spotted a ring on top of the woodchips, this childs ring has no mark. Again, I went into the grassy area and started to find coins also around the jungle gym (had to crawl into it. Man, I'm not as young as I used to be. There I found a quarter). At this school I found $1.54, than I called it a day the sky started to look like rain...

Coin Shooting Saturday Morning

This morning I got an early start so I could search at one of the elementary schools before the club meeting, that starts at 10 AM. I did find clad, more in the dimes (found $1.08). After the meeting all new members and members that never hunted in a seeded hunt got a short lesson on how and what to do. I joined in since I never have never done one of those. The club president seeded dimes, he showed us the technique that is used to plant the coins in the soil (very interesting). Also, the members that have done this helped the newbies learn the technique on searching and recovering the coins, what to look for and hopefully pick up speed (that will come with time and practice). While waiting I recovered a lone penny. I did get 18 dimes.

Did a little Coin Shooting...

This morning I searched for a little while, went to one elementary school I've been to a lot. I searched the woodchips knowing I wouldn't find anything there so started searching in the grass surrounding the play area. I did start finding some coins, figured I focus on quarters on my machine (found 4 quarters) and 4 pennies. I decided to stop here and go next door, there is a good sized park so I searched the front baseball field around the bleachers and some areas in the grass (grass is still very wet from the dew, so I called it a day or morning). Found .33 cents in this area.

This morning got another early start, no rain so gonna make use of the time before the rain returns. I did go to just one location an elementary school, I did pretty good this morning. This year to date I found almost $10.00 in coins at this school, the other schools vary. This morning detected for about 1 1/2 hour, the humidity is still high so called is a day.

Coin shooting Sunday Morning...

This morning, I got an early start went to an elementary school I've been to several times. I did pretty good found $1.55 in clad, two Chucky Cheese tokens 2004 and 2005, and what looks like a puzzle ring has 4 intertwined links, this I found under a bench at the play area (don't think it's silver see no mark and looks like it has small pitted areas).
The second location decided to search a park instead of another school, did pretty good here also. Found $1.12 in clad coins, a childs bangel bracelet and a Red Hot Wheel car #841 on the bottom. Decided to stop for the morning, it's after 9:30AM and starting to get a bit warm.
I drove to the park that has the soccer fest to see if it really is happening, it is and the venders are in the area the lady from yesterday told me. I'm going to get a really earlly start, to beat the others that go metal detecting (hope no one goes tonight).

Saturday Morning Coin Shooting...

This morning I went to 2 elementary schools, first one was back to Mosquitoes school was not as bad as on July 11. Found some clad $1.66 and another house key. While there I talked for a little while to a lady that was walking her Yorkie, she told me about a park that was having a soccer fest today and tomorrow all soccer fields are being used for this event (there are about 6 fields in that park). I have searched that park many times last year and some this year, going there bright and early Monday Morning to search also where the venders are set up she mentioned to me what part of the parking lot they be. The second school found .36 cents.

Sunday morning detecting at 2 schools...

This morning I got up early to go detecting at 2 elementary schools. The first place I've done good in the past but today was hard to get some searching done. I was getting bitten by mosquitoes bad, could even heard them buzzing around my head with the head phones on. It is very shady, damp in that area. I decided to leave that location to go to another school at the mosquitoe school I did find .66 cents , that was for a 1/2 hour of detecting. The second school was much better, I wasn't being attached by those Blood suckers. Found .50 cents on top of the woodchips (eyeballed) and the rest was found in the grass around the building, at this school found $1.76. I'm looking at these schools at where to search along with the play areas.
