Sundays find...May 29, 2011

Yesterday I stopped at the Dollar store for the Sunday paper, my husband said find a penny than we get it for .99 ccents. As I walked in I searched the floor, nothing. When I got up to the counter on the asprin boxes on the shelf I spotted a penny. When I went back to the car I gave my husband a thumb's up telling him I did find one, LOL!!!. Tomorrow I'm gonna try and get out with my ACE, last week hurt my ankle at first I thought I broke it (heard a loud snap), x-ray's gave me the good news it's not just pulled a tendon/soft tissue.

Got My Two Cents...

This morning my husband and I did our regular thing for today, first was to get the Sunday paper. As I was getting out of the car I spotted to pennies on the cement edging of a flower bed, there is construction going on at this plaza so it was kind of a messy area. Later in the day we all stopped at the park on the beach, wish I had my ACE with me even if I did the ground was so wet and cold.

New Years Eve Find...

Today, my husband and I went out to breakfast the first stop was to get some gas. After I got out of the car to go and pre-pay I saw a shiney dime on the parking lot, so I picked it up... The tempature today is beautiful, if the snow was gone from the ground I would of taken the ACE 250 out and searched at some schools, not today.

Missed Silver by One Year...

This morning the weather looked iffy it was cold, very dark clouds for awhile I expected it to start raining, but it didn't. I went to this park I was at the other day across from the mall, this time I searched next to 2 basketball courts. Did very good, in fact next to one court I was digging out quarters and dimes, many holes had multiple coins. On my ACE 250 got a signal that registered .50 cents and when I dug the target it was 2 quarters back to back. After I got back home from 2 hours of searching, getting muddy and very wet feet. I cleaned the coins off so I could tally my finds, one quater was a 1965 and one dime also was a 1965 (bummer) I will be going back there very soon, maybe tomorrow if weather permits.

Coin Shooting at 2 Parks...

Went to search at two parks this morning, first one is near my sister's house. I found a bunch of clad and this bullet, looks like it could come from the same kind of bullet case I found yesterday. At this park I found $2.60, one of the quarters I dug up here I missed it by being silver by 1 year, it was a 1965. Last year, I did find a 1964 quarter by the tennis courts in this park.

Park two is a bit smaller it always gives me some finds. Clad found here is $1.36 and two house keys, first key found was in the wood chips and the second one I dug out of the ground. Both registered as a penny on my ACE250.

Some coin shooting before the rain comes...

Went to one of the parks I search a lot, I found .61 cents in the woodchips of the TotLots. Than started to rain some so I sat at one of the pavilons til it stopped. I have to check something out on of the dogwalkers mentioned to me, on the otherside of the bldg/pavilon near some pine trees a safe had been stolen an dumped in that area. Made a swing of 2 rows with my ACE250 the are quite clean. Than I searched inside the fence of the Basketball court and tennis courts found clad coins, I have to go back there for it started raining and thundering (don't want to swing an electronic equipment in a thunderstorm). That is it for the day, have to get a new battery for my pin-pointer battery starting to go wacky.

This has been one long and tough week, with the heat, humidity and thunderstorms I am glad it's friday. Hope tomorrow is a day I can get out with my ACE, there is a chance of more spot thunderstorms. Enough with the rain already...

Coin Shooting...Backyard 18

Happy Fathers Day!! It's been a week since I was out with my ACE250 and man do I feel it not getting out, been busy working. Went out for a while in the back yard, the ground was still wet from rain earlier in the day and heavy rain all day yesterday. Pretty much just found rusty nails, did get one penny...

Spent a couple of hours scanning the front yard with my ACE 250. Man the coins keep on comin, did even better today...

This morning figured I do a little Metal Detecting before it started to rain. About 2 hrs and I only found a penny (zincoln), a toy hot wheel my 5th one and a lot of junk. Soon I will look into different areas since I have started to figure everything out on my ACE 250 and with the help of the pin-pointer.
