Finally, back in the mood for detecting...

Went to 4 elementary schools this morning, even thought the humidty was high I did pretty good. The first school was awhile I been to and knowing another person searches here also, saw him there last year. I found another US $1.00 President coin this one was of George Washington 1st President 1789 to 1797, this makes the 2nd $1.00 coin this month. Also found alot of clad coins $1.76 . The second school not to good, here I found only .27 cents in clad. The third school also did good, not much in coins only .46 cents but did find this silver earring in the grass about 4" to 5" down. The forth and last location for the day was not good only found .12 cents. Was getting very warm so called it a day.

April fools day finds Silver...

Found this today while coin-shooting, not a fools joke today. went to another town they have the town park that has two woodchip playgrounds, the first playground found a couple of pennies. The second one first thing found was this silver ring that does have the .925 mark. The rest was clad finds, no coin older than me. After done here, back was hurting bad but decided to try one more park since the weather is beautiful. The only thing I found at this place was a large bullet casing (R.P 30-06 SPRG) was stamped on the end.

Found a silver quarter...

This morning was quite cold in the 20's but went out anyway. First park I went to was around the corner from my sister's house, searched near a tennis court and found a 1964 Washington quarter, going back to that park tomorrow a spend more time in that part. Also found $1.79 in clad. Wasn't ready to call it a day so went to the soccer fields and spent a little over an hour (boy are those fields HUGE!!!!) found one small flat metal asian dragon, 1 junk earring, a pin that says Town of Ajax By the Lake have no idea where that place is, something that looks like a large bullet without the casing and a $1.76 in clad.

Coin Shooting, this morning before the rain...

Was able to go to two Tot Lots before the rain came, The one I did very good at on Sept. 5, 2009. Went to today, I was still able to pull more coins out .61 cents more. (a total for that playground now is $4.12). At the beach playground did pretty good, got a silver nickel...

8-28-09 Coin Star find...

Today after work I stopped at the grocery store, after going thru costumer service I eyed the coin star return slot and to my surprise there was a handful of coins. I started to get them out didn't care what the people in line were thinking (I know someone was surprised I heard a gasp). Had a good selection, a lot needed for my coin folders and also got 2 silver dimes. 5 Canadian pennies all are 2008's. 5 Lincoln cents 1975, 1984, 1995, 1996, 19??. 6 Canadian nickels 1978, 1980, (2) 2001's, 1952-2002, 2009. 3 Canadian dimes 1978, 1995, 2003. 4 Roosevelt dimes (2 silver 1959D, 1961D), 1967, 2006P. And one 1973 shilling. Oh, and I also found 2 pennies on the floor earlier in the day...

Today, after MDing I went to the grocery store they have a Coinstar I check each time I go in, got me two dimes, one being silver 1962. And later found 2 pennies at Walmart on the floor, hey I'm going to pick it up (free money is good)...

This morning a co-worker found a dime on the floor, with closer look we saw that it was a 1960 (silver) dime. I found a few coins, but not lucky in finding that dime.

Coin Shooting...Backyard 4

I went out in the yard again since tomorrow is supposed to be nasty weather. I was out for 2 hrs and found more coins (none of them silver, all are clad). The Garrett Pro-pointer is helping me a lot in locating the coins and yes junk also.
