This morning I went to the beach, instead of searching the Tot Lot (did that the day before) I started finding coins on top of the sand only a couple I had to dig, which was still wet from the storm the day before. When I was done, I put my things in the car turned to look at the people in the park and there was this older gentleman searching the playground, so I walked over to ask what type of machine he was using. He told me it was a metal detector, Huh yeah I know wanted to know the name, was a Garrett I believe a 2500 told him I had a 250 and that I was in this play area yesterday. Got back to the car turned and he was gone, guess he didn't like the idea I already searched there, LOL!!!...
Coin Shooting/treasure hunting: .58 cents; 2 quarters (1986, New Hampshire 2000P), 1 nickel (1985D), 3 pennies (1946 wheat, 1962D, 1989).
Got permission to search the house next door, today was the first day I started searching. Under the big tree in the back yard about 6 inches down I found a railroad spike, took some digging to get it out. Also some coins 5 of them older. Will do the yard again when the new owners are not working on the house.
