Happy Flag Day...

This morning went out detecting at two locations, first is back at the beach playground. In the TotLot found a good amount of clad coins but funny thing is not one penny found in the woodchips all are quarters, dimes and nickels. I did search some of the grass area, did find some pennies there. Searched at a soda machine found some pennies and a quarter in the grass. At this park found $1.97. The second park, I searched the TotLot there did very good, usually find one or two coins in the woodchips today found $1.20 at the end of one slide I recovered 3 quarters. After this park called it a day starting to get very warm glasses are fogging up.

Returned bottles for deposit and found Silver...

Went to the grocery store to return bottles, getting a bit to many. When I went into the store, I walked past the CoinStar machine to check the return slot and spotted this quarter dated 1942S (Silver) YES!!!. Made the day a little more brighter...

to get a few things, I checked the coinstar found a dime (clad) in the return slot and at customer service spotted a penny on the floor.

Early Morning Coin Shooting...

This morning got up early so I could get out and detect. Went to 3 parks, the first one I found coins one are of the Tot Lot found several quarter, dimes a nickel and penny. This park found .79 cents, 2 pennies found on a picnic table. The second location is a small park, didn't find a whole lot but did get more pennies at this location a lot of them pre-1982's, found .27 cents either there isn't a whole lot of people that come here or someone else searches. I also found a very small key about 1" Long (the design of this key looks like the one from Key Bank). The third and last location for the day, is a park not far from the mall here, this place really need time to really search but today only found .11 cents. At the second and third location a police car showed up, they pulled and than shortly they were gone...

Day after some heavy rain...

Yesterday the rain was so bad, with thunder & lightning and heavy winds and very chilly the whole day. I did get out this morning went to the beach playground with being told that Saturday was a large amount of children at the park. I found a $1.84, didn't search the grassy area way to many pull tabs and the ground was still very wet. When I got back to my car I spotted this butterfly laying on the black top next to passenger side of the car. The second place I decided at the last minute to search since no one was there, wasn't worth stopping there today found .15 cents.

Back to detecting...

This morning, I went back to detecting after being stung and the weather not being nice. This morning was very humid. Went to the beach playground did very good today found lots of clad in the play area, $2.03. if the rain holds off tomorrow the beach area supposed to have possibly over 5,000 children there playing, that's what one of the grounds crew told me so I'll go back there first thing Sunday morning, if it don't rain. The second location that's around the corner from my sisters house, the play area (woodchips) found only 1 penny, in the grass did find coins one area next to a bench found several quarters.

~The penny above was also one of the coins found today, it looks to be off center. And the old nickel 1951D is the oldest coin found today.~

Found a couple of coins...

Today at the laundry mat I went over to the snack machine, put my money in was to get .15 cent change with that I also got a bonus of a .25. And later in the afternoon stopped at the grocery store, watched a man at the coinstar machine after he left I noticed something in the bag he had his coins in, was a penny...
