Return bottles and cans today...

Today went out for a little while, so I grabbed two garbage bags full of bottles and some cans to rreturn for the deposit.

Fall is in the air...

This morning, stopped at Delta Sonic for some gas car was starting to hit E, in the store I spotted a penny so I went and picked it up. While waiting to pay I saw another penny at one of the checkouts problem someone was standing there, I'm hoping that I be the next one called to that register but another was free so I went to that one. Then I went to Tops, on the way out of the grocery store I saw a dime under a shelf ledge, I picked that up, at first I thought it was a penny.

I finally got around to taking in two large bags of cans and bottles into the grocery store for the deposit.

Finally return the cans and bottles...

This morning I took in the cans and bottles for the deposit, was about time had two garbage bags full. While there putting them into the machine another person had a big bag, they were mixed alot was to go into the blue box for recycling but there were the other cans. He asked if anybody wanted the bag, suggested to him to give it toe the gentleman next to him, I didn't have alot of time to go thru it.

Stopped in at Tops...

This morning, I stopped at Tops to get a few things I first headed towards the Coin Star machine but someone was there so I ran to the bank. On the way back to customer service I checked the Coin Star again this time spotted a few coins in the return slot a quarter and 2 pennies. It's been awhile since I found some coins in these machines.

Wednesdays bottle return...

This morning, I took two huge garbage bags full of bottles and cans to the store for deposit return. Haven't been out detecting due to the heat (I hate Hot temps) and back and leg pain. Have been busy making and painting ornaments to sell.

Returned bottles and cans today.

Today, I went to the grocery store to return 4 bags of bottles and cans for the deposit. As I was putting in the plastic bottles the machine next to me I noticed the slip for the cash, a man was on the other side of that machine I assumed it was his because people many times work on two machines at a time. He walked away, so I grabbed it the amount was .70 cents also found another can in the return slot another .05 cents. That makes an extra .75 cents to my savings. Afterwards I stopped at the Dollar store to get some cookies and a couple of books for the projects I'm working on, when I went to check out I saw a penny on the floor so when it came to my turn I bent down to pick it up. I Believe Spring finally Sprung.

Today, I was getting ready for the GVTS meeting. Before the meeting I went and returned my cans and bottles for deposit, pretty much the end of the month unless I find some while detecting. The weather was cold but sunny so I didn't do any detecting, after the meeting I wish that I had for the air temp felt very good.

The Quiet Before the Storm...

This morning I went out for a short time to get a few things before the snow storm hits, I'm hoping that this will be the last of the snow, kind of tired of this cold and snow (every day in January it snowed, enough already). Tomorrow is ground hog day, if he sees his shadow with this lousey weather everywhere especially in Pennsylvania, I'll be not happy. I'm hoping for an early Spring. So, while I was out at the grocery store I went to check out the Coin Star machine (nothing in the mschine) but I spot a penny on the floor.

Got my 2 cents today...

This morning I went to the grocery store, and boy was it COLD!!! out. I checked the Coinstar when I entered but found nothing. I than went to the bank, on the way back to customer service I spotted a small dark circle on the floor in front of the Coinstar, I went over to see what it was and found a penny. Than to customer service and found another penny on the floor in front of the counter. My Lucky Day, yeah right....

Little find on December 2, 2010

I haven't been on-line for a few days and now with the heavy snow that came yesterday I figured I get a little caught up. Have been working on Christmas ornaments that I have been painting and posting on my other blog.

I went to the grocery store on December 2 and as a habit I go over to the coinstar machine and check for coins. I found this foreign coin (if anyone knows what country, please let me know the coin is about the size of a dime). Found this coin in the return slot and a penny on the floor in front of the machine. Also, went to a craft store in the mall and on the floor in one of the isles found a penny. The finds over the winter will probably be very small (I don't metal detect thru the winter) can't wait til Spring when I can get out detecting again.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I have been busy making things to sell and not getting out as much as I'd like to and also the cold is starting to really show itself here in NY, a snow forcast is on for tonight the weather station is saying the it will hit south of us. Yesterday, I did get to a grocery store and in the checkout line I spotted a shiney penny.

Bottle Return Day...

This morning I went and returned bottles and cans that I had and also the ones found while metal detecting. When I took the slips to the register for the money, I got this nickel from the refund. I collect all nickels 1963 and older, even if I have that date filled in my coin albums.

A stop to the grocery store...

Today, I took a break from metal detecting even though the weather was out standing. We watched a couple of movies on DVD, first one was "Urban Legend" to scary for me to watch especially at night and than the other movie was "7 Pounds" with Will Smith, to me that was a very good one to watch, finished watching around 3 AM, so this morning I slept in. Early this afternoon stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things in one of the check out lines I spotted a penny on the floor, so I went and picked it up. Hey, see a penny pick it up all the day you'll have good luck.

This morning, I went and returned the bottles and cans for the .05 cent deposit that I had inn the hallway and found while detecting.

Finally returned bottles and cans...

This morning, I finally returned my bottles and cans for the deposit. I would of perferred to have gone metal detecting but my body is in such pain. From the two bags in the hallway, and a couple of bags in the car from cans I find while detecting, I got a total of $4.00. Also, there was this man at the customer service counter getting change from whatever transaction, he dropped a penny after he walked away I went and picked it up. Hey, find a penny pick it up all the day I have Good Luck...

A Day of Rest...

This Morning, I decided not to get up before 6 AM. I took it easy this morning and after awhile I went out for a short time to the grocery store. When I got inside the store I went over to the Coin-Star machine and checked the return slot, didn't see anything so I stuck my hand in and found a quarter. When I was done getting what I needed I spotted a dime on the floor in front of a bench by the Exit, I picked that up also...I plan to go detecting tomorrow, hopefully it'll be a quiet night from the neighbors.
