Coin Shooting 3 Playgrounds...

This morning I went to 3 playgrounds, two of them are a first. The first one I came out with $1.66 must be one never detected or been awhile, second playground have been to several times only got .13 cents and the last one for the day is the one I backed out of doing yesterday got the courage to hit it today, came out with .91 cents not bad for a Tuesday morning...

Found Wedding Rings along with Clad Coins...

This morning I was gonna hit a new playground but backed out for now so I went to the Beach/Park, the area I worked yesterday and got rained out I hit that area again today and it payed off Good!! along with a lot of clad coins. Found wedding rings the band part in one area and the diamond about 2 feet away, I surprised I found both they are a set (look a like) and the same size. Believe they are silver can faintly make out a mark, just have to get to a jewelry store and have them checked to see if they are real...

Coin Shooting and Yes Got Rain...

This morning, I went to a new location a school couple of the play areas had nothing the area that had all the playground equipment did okay got .53 cents. Than off to another new location, that one didn't do well at all, came out with .03 cents. I did meet a lady that was walking her two dogs, one of the dogs was very friendly and came up to me to say in doggy words "Hi". The rain came so I went into the car, again I saw the lady come back with her pets from walking the friendly dog looked very lost she was actually looking for me. I opened the car door to show her that I was over here in the car and the ears perked up and she came over for a scratch on the head. Guess I should carry dog treats, LOL!!!. Than off to the Park/Beach, this area pays off good. In one small area I was pulling coins out of the ground, quarters, dime and many pennies a total of .69 cents in a short time, than the rain came so had to call it a day for sure I will be there tomorrow...

This morning before I started Coin Shooting stopped for gas, when I left the store found a penny the start of a good day if the rain holds up til I'm done...

Hunt after Club Meeting...

The meeting was fun, saw some of the members finds and voted for the best. I got one win on my relic of the square nail, prize was a scratch off lottery ticket and a 1964 Kennedy half dollar. After the meeting I was asked if I was gonna do some hunting, yes just had to figure out where I was gonna go. A few of the members and I decided to go to the other beach in our area, did okay got clad coins .40 at the end of the search we were asked who got the oldest coin the oldest one I had was a 1964 Canadian, I was the winner with this coin (others had current dates or no coins). My prize was a 1954 Ben Franklin half dollar. These coins made my day really silver bright, these are the first prizes I have gotten since I joined...

October 2, 2009... Coin shooting...

This morning I hit 2 play areas and the beach park, one play ground have to figure the right way to enter (that one I'll try later in the week). The one next to my sister's house produced some clad .78 cents and a tiny skull button thingy. Than one of the playgrounds went back to that did very good on my first visit got more clad coins .13 cents and that is the place I got all the bottles for return. And than the Beach/Park found a square nail, something that looks like a ring (misshaped and heavy) than more clad coins $1.56. As I was swinging my detector the Sheriff drove behind me on the side walk, I turned and said Good Morning and he replied with a Good Morning and kept driving, the police and Sheriff patrol the park all the time more during peak season...I'm getting ready to go to a Metal Detecting Club Meeting, starts a 10AM...

Oct. 2, 2009... Large bottle find for return...

As I went to one of the playgrounds to coin shoot the trash can next to my car was loaded with bottles the kind with a .05 deposit, I filled 3 shopping bags. When finished metal detecting found a penny next to my driver side door. Later that day even with the pouring rain had to take in the bottles car was starting to smell like a brewery.
